Ever since I was a kid, travel has been a constant in my life. I started flying regularly at seven, often visiting family in California, and with parents who were passionate travelers themselves, exploring the world quickly became normal to me. That love for global experiences led me to study international management, and today I work in a marketing agency in project management and social media. Outside of work, I’m a music lover, especially jazz, and I play two instruments. I’m also a big foodie who’s always excited to try new dishes wherever I go.
Ireland will always come first for me — after two years there, one studying abroad and one living in Dublin, its friendly people and pub culture made it feel like home. Chile is another favorite for its incredible nature and food. And then there’s Prague, with its beautiful architecture and great Czech dishes, which I especially loved as a big foodie.
My love for travel kicked off at 7 when I moved from Ethiopia to the U.S. Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to experience the country in phases: growing up in Pennsylvania, heading to college in Tennessee, and spending a summer living in California. Eventually, that curiosity pushed me across the ocean. I studied abroad in Ireland, ended up working there for a year and a half, moved to Germany for a bit, and now Switzerland.
I love meeting locals and getting a feel for everyday life wherever I go. And my favorite thing to do is visiting the national museum the moment I arrive. It’s the perfect way to dive into a country’s culture and history before exploring everything else.
